Controls Engineer
Atlanta, GA Office
Education
- BS Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related engineering curriculum with demonstrated interest and aptitude in control systems preferred.
- Pertinent Electrical and/or Controls experience will also be considered.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in industrial controls and automation
- Utility and Process experience in the Food and Beverage Industry a plus, but not required
- A highly-motivated recent engineering graduate, with controls system project/coursework will be considered.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Demonstrate strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility for domestic travel (approximately 50%)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with clients and peers
- Willing and able to work overtime as project work load dictates
Responsibilities
- The Controls Engineer will assist in the development of automation solutions and participate in the specification and start-up of a variety of automated manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proficiency with PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI and high-level software controls, design and programming automated industrial equipment is preferred.
- For the right candidate, training will be provided to meet these requirements.
